We'll end with a social mixer with mocktails for the last half hour so you can build community and continue to connect with others LGBTQIA+ folks.

Teachers:

Alexandra Castro is a passionate mindfulness coach who values authentic connection, personal growth, and mindfulness. She believes we are on this earth to come soul-to-soul and help each other become the most authentic version of ourselves. In addition, she firmly believes that the quality of our life depends on the quality of our relationships – and most importantly, the ones we have with ourselves. She serves the Queer community, who have been generally underrepresented in the mindfulness space, offering a safe space to transform and connect. Her purpose is to incorporate mindfulness into the LGBTQ community and help individuals live a more fulfilled life by connecting deeply with who they are and enhancing their mental wellness through mindfulness and connection. Alexandra now leads a mindfulness group called LGBTQMindfulness and has started a mindfulness movement in the LGBTQ community. She is a meditation and mindfulness instructor and completed her certification with the Natural Wellness Institute. She continued to deepen her spiritual practice by becoming certified as a Yoga Instructor with Yoga Flow in San Francisco. She facilitates LGBTQMindfulness Retreats Internationally to create a space for the Queer community to align back to themselves and their power within. In addition, she conducts sound baths and is an authentic connection facilitator as well and is certified by the Sound Institute. She is passionate about creating different environments where the LGBTQ community can authentically connect with themselves and one another.

Phoenix Song was featured in San Francisco Magazine's Best of the Bay for yoga music. They trained in Somatic Voicework and are a Tamalpa Associate Teacher of Expressive Arts. Phoenix has performed and taught at Wanderlust, Esalen, the Yoga Journal Conference, Grace Cathedral, UC Berkeley and Santa Cruz, and festivals and retreats around the world. Phoenix studied Western and Indian classical music and play didgeridoo, djembe, Arabic tambourine, esraj, harmonium and sing like an angel. A specialist in world fusion music, Phoenix is known for their passionate, heartfelt music. They especially delight in freeing people's voices, rhythms, and lives! Phoenix teaches both private and group free your voice and free your voice while drumming 10-week classes. They also offer grief medicine rituals, ancestral healing classes, shamanic journeys, and sound baths. Phoenix's latest album Serendip is now available.
