Stories of our Lives, the Workshop

  • The Castro Room 97 Collingwood Street San Francisco, CA, 94114 United States (map)

It’s story time.

Stories are maps of the human experience—threads connecting us across time, longing, loss, fear, courage, forgetting, and remembering.

In this workshop, we’ll enter the world of sacred mythology not as distant tales, but as living reflections of our own lives. Through movement, breath, chanting, contemplation, and story, we’ll explore how these ancient archetypes live within the body and nervous system, shaping the way we meet challenges, love, fear, purpose, and transformation.

Together we’ll explore themes of resilience, belonging, transformation, and the universal patterns that connect all human beings.

Janet’s engrossing story-telling and heartfelt practice of chanting cultivate space for us to reflect on some of our most pivotal moments in life as we begin to own the story of our own life’s journey.

We will explore

  • Stories and understanding the deities

  • How to use story to gain insight into modern challenges

  • Chanting as a tool

  • The arc of story that shows up: yoga sequence, romance, writing project

  • Unearth and share  our own stories
