The Castro Room is welcoming Jason Crandell back home for a special one-day event — and we couldn't be more excited. This workshop is designed to demystify arm balances by focusing on what actually makes them work: technique, intelligent transitions, and using your body's natural leverage to find stability you didn't know you had. Expect a session that is challenging, welcoming, and genuinely fun.
What You'll Experience:
Hips and Crow — pairing hip flexor and adductor mobility work with Bakasana and its variations, building the foundation that makes Crow feel accessible rather than impossible
Outer Hips and Flying — targeting the outer hip and glute opening that unlocks postures like Flying Pigeon (Eka Pada Galavasana) and Scales Pose (Tolasana), with a focus on the mobility that makes these shapes feel earned rather than forced
Hamstrings and Extended Arm Balances — pairing hamstring mobility with the longer, more extended arm balances — Eka Pada Koundinyasana and Firefly (Tittibhasana) — where length in the posterior chain is the key that opens the door
Shoulders and Inversions — pairing shoulder mobility and stability work with Forearm Balance (Pincha Mayurasana) and Handstand (Adho Mukha Vrksasana), developing the shoulder integrity these postures demand
